Alternative Groove 2D Next Limit

On May 15, 2011, Alternative Groove, a dance group formed in a University in Davao City, Philippines has joined again the Groove Unlimited Dance Community Showcase called Groovestylz 8. The group has continuously committed to venture on taking the challenge to innovate and present a dance piece that raises its previous performances. Despite the struggle of forming a group of at least twenty participants and a fastly turning over group in terms of membership, it has still managed to be blessed with people who believe and are interested to hone their skills in hip hop dance. With the guidance of its main choreographer, Danilo Dexter Guibone Jr. and the leadership of the group's president, Noe Ross Calicdan, they were able to pull out a very much appreciated performance. Recognition is also due for members of the crew who have developed their choreography skills. Josef Ivan Manila, Micky Baylosis and Jason Cadelina have generously shared their skills in the conception of the presentation. This just goes to show how members of the crew are not only able to develop their talent in dancing but also in developing their potentials in creating artistic choreography in line with their dance style interest.

The addition of the Next Limit Cru to the Alternative Groove has now formed a new coalition coined as Alt Grv 2D Nxt Lmt. Much gratitude is given to the Next Limit Crew's lead and main choreographer  Mark Jason Calvelo

With the forging of this new merger, the group aims to reach greater heights and participate in more dance activities that will help each other develop and push each other to reach greater heights. The Alternative Groove and the Next Limit Cru shall continue to synergize for future dance opportunities. With this, it hopes to show that there is no need for dance crews to pull each other down in order for the other to rise.

The group continues to hold dance workshops within their area. Everyone is invited to participate and give themselves the chance to develop their passion for the craft. Just click on this link for more information. Being skilled is not a requirement. Being motivated and interested is more preferrable.
